The Art of Remote Sensing
Image: SanFranRed

This image gives a slightly different view of San Francisco Bay than SFBayRed. It is obvious that this data was taken on a very windy weekend day, since many whitecaps are visible in the ocean and there is much greater small boat activity in the bay. Also visible is the tide line in the ocean from the outgoing tide that was occurring when this data was obtained. SanFranGreen was constructed from the same data set, but the color assignments were chosen to be closer to visually true color at the cost of slightly lower spatial resolution.

The area covered by this image is approximately 36x54 miles. A full-resolution crop of the image file is available here that shows the detail present in the full image print.
