One of them pleads with Mom to feed him, but to no avail. The chicks at RS Hawk nest #2 are beginning to stretch their wings and hop up and down. Over the next few weeks this will intensify, eventually culminating with first flight. One of the parents drops off some food at this nest and then leaves. As in nest #1, these chicks are expected to feed themselves now. There is a hatchling at the Cooper's Hawk nest, no more than 1 day old. This hatchling can be seen by comparing these two photos.
