This image shows Canyonlands National Park in southeastern Utah at the confluence of the Green River and the Colorado River above Lake Powell. The many canyons created by smaller streams and the meandering paths of the Green and Colorado rivers create a spectacular view that has fractal-like qualities. The round feature near the top of this image between the two rivers is Upheaval Dome, a 60 million year old impact crater.

This image covers an area of approximately 70x53 miles. A full-resolution crop of the image file is available here that shows the detail present in this print.
