This is the male of the family of Barred Owls displayed here. Barred Owls are fairly common is our
area. They prefer a wooded habitat with oak trees near a creek. Their barred feather patterns make
great camoflauge when they are sitting on an oak tree branch watching for prey with their large
eyes.
